PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team traveled to Plymouth, Saturday morning to compete in the Panther Invitational.
Rapid Recap:
- First years, Brady Curley (Hillsborough, N.H.) and Mason Sayers (Lanesborough, Mass.) would both compete in the double of the 60m dash and 200m again. Sayers would come out and run a 7.43 in the preliminary, while Curley would run a 7.48. Sayers would go on to qualify for the final and run a 7.48, scoring 1 point for the Chargers. Curley and Sayers would both go on to run the 200, as Curley would lead the way running a 24.46. Sayers would cross the line in 26.56.
- Jonathan Platti (North Granby, Conn.) would take on the 600m, finishing 3rd overall with a time of 1:27.26. This time would beat a six year old school record previously held by Kyle Hajj as Platti would now take that record for himself, beating it by .43 seconds.Â
- Cody Thompson (Dunnellon, FL.) would go for an 800m and 5k double on the day. First, in the 800m, Thompson would finish second overall with a time of 1:59.50. Next up in the 5k, Thompson would race his way to a 4th place overall finishing, crossing the line in 15:39.72.
- Moving to the field, Matt Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) would continue to power the Chargers as he took on the weight throw, shot put and long jump. He would find himself jumping his way to a new personal best coming in at 4.96m. He would then find himself securing another personal best as he threw 9.48m in shot put that would add to his impressive day. He would finish the day with weight, throwing 9.11m.
Inside the Numbers:
- Thompson would race his way to the top of the performance list for the conference, ranking second in the 800m, and first in the 5k.
- Junior, Parker Hilton (Hudson, NH) found himself on the performance list in 8th in shotput as he pulled out a new personal best of 9.85m, topping all Chargers.

The Chargers will take the week to prepare themselves for a meet at the TRACK at New Balanace hosted by UMass Lowell on Janaury 25th.
