Chargers Compete in First Carnival of the 2025 Season

NEWRY, MAINE - The Colby-Sawyer men's and women's alpine ski team travel to Maine this weekend to compete at the Bates Carnival held at Sunday River Resort.

Rapid Recap:
  • The team competed in the Giant Slalom (GS) race Friday as junior Jackson Musial (Bartlett, N.H.) placed 34th in the race, with a combined time of 2:34.50. This time was  +5.92 seconds behind the race winner Bradshaw Underhill from Middlebury College.
  • The team competed in Saturday's Slalom race and struggled to secure second runs against the competition. No Chargers qualified for further runs from both the men's and women's teams. 
Up Next:
As the weekend raps up, the team looks forward to several different race series in which they continue to lower their FIS points to better their performances moving into next week's races at Whiteface Mountain, hosted by St. Lawerence University.
