ALPINE SKI COMPETES AT THE ST.LAWRENCE CARNIVAL

WILMINGTON, NY - The Colby-Sawyer men's and women's alpine ski team traveled to New York this week to compete at the St.Lawrence Carnival held at Whiteface Mountain.

Rapid Recap:
  • The team competed in the Giant Slalom (GS) race Thursday as the team struggled to secure second runs against the competition. No Chargers qualified for further runs from both the men's and women's teams. junior Jackson Musial (Bartlett, N.H.) placed 34th in the race, with a combined time of 2:34.50. This time was  +5.92 seconds behind the race winner Bradshaw Underhill from Middlebury College.
  • Friday, the team competed in Slalom. Junior Jackson Musial (Bartlett, N.H.) placed 29th in the race, with a combined time of 1:36.16. This time was +2.46 seconds behind the race winner Bradshaw Underhill from Middlebury College. Musial's performance gave the Chargers their first points of the still young season!
Up Next:
The Chargers will have a bye week next week as they prepare to get more qualifications for a second run at the next carnival at Smuggler's Notch hosted by Saint Michael's College.
