CHARGERS KICK OFF 2025 AT DARTMOUTH RELAYS

HANOVER, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team hit the road and traveled to Hanover to compete in the Dartmouth Relays for their first meet of 2025! 

Rapid Recap: 
  • First years, Brady Curley (Hillsborough, NH) and Mason Sayers (Lanesborough, MA) powered the Chargers in the 60m and 200m. Sayers would be the first Charger across the line in a time of 7.33 and Curley close behind with a 7.43 in the 60m dash. It would be Curley as the first Charger in the 200, running 24.90 as Sayers ran a 24.91.
  • Johanthan Platti (North Granby, Conn.) would go out and set a high mark in the 500m while finishing 12th overall running a time of 1:09.59 which just misses the school record set last indoor season.
  • Cody Thompson (Dunnellon, Fl.) finished with the highest placement of the day with a 5th place performance in the 3000m as he crossed the line in 8:52.06 finishing ahead of a chunk of Division I runners from UVM. 
  • Hayden Goyette (Epsom, N.H.) hit a new personal best in the 1000m with a time of 2:49.82.
  • Matt Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) had a phenominal day for the Chargers field events, participating in three events! He finished 12th in long jump, posting a 4.55m jump. He then went and threw 8.79m in shot put, which placed him 13th behind fellow Charger Parker Hilton (Hudson, N.H.) who threw 8.95m. Gaudioso would finish his day for the Chargers in weight throw with a mark of 10.58m.
Inside the Numbers:
  • Sayers and Curley would both get into the top 6 of the GNAC rankings in the 60m and 200m as Sayers is ranked 3rd and 6th, and Curley is 6th and 5th.
  • Thompson would lock himself into the top spot in the 3k by almost ten whole seconds to the rest of the conference. 
  • Gaudioso would put himself in third of the conference with his weight throw mark a whole .55m ahead of 4th.
Up Next:
The Chargers will travel to another New Hampshire meet as they go to Plymouth St. for the Panther Invitational on January 18th.
