.NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team gathered its fifth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win for the season on Tuesday beating Rivier by a score of 13-4.
 
Rapid Recap:
	- The Chargers started the game with a dominant offensive presence. First year Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, N.H.) kicked off the quarter with a quick goal, followed by a free position goal right after from graduate student Sydney Stevens (Laconia, N.H.). After a good defensive stance Colby-Sawyer extended its lead as junior Heather Hanson (Barnstable, Mass.) and senior Olivia Romo (Marlboro, Vt.) found the back of the net to boost the Charger lead 4-1 headed into the second.
 
	- Offensive production picked up where it left off with sophomore Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.) netting back-to-back goals to kick off the quarter. The Chargers offense stayed hot as Romo put up three more points to cap off the first half with Colby-Sawyer in front 8-2.
 
	- Graduate student Hannah Marquis (Weare, N.H.) continued the success offensively for Colby-Sawyer in the third quarter with an extra effort goal to push the lead to seven. First year Emily Weagle (Clinton, Mass.) held the defense together with a caused turnover leading to another Hanson goal to close out the quarter.
 
	- Colby-Sawyer kept their foot on the gas pedal to start the last quarter of play as junior captain Soph Kuhlthau (Cheshire, Conn.) notched a pair of goals in under a minute to extend the lead 12-3. Junior keeper AJ Paton (Exeter, N.H.) was a force in net and didn't let the Raiders pile on to the total with a miraculous diving save to close out the game for the Chargers.

"It was a pretty awesome win today," said Senior 
Olivia Romo (Marlboro, Vt.). "I couldn't have done this without my teammates…We had talked about working smarter not harder and we did that today. Looking ahead into this week we plan on continuing to work hard, but smarter!"
 
Inside The Numbers:
	- Romo led the offensive triumph with two goals and two assists notching four points for the day. Ponzini registered a hat-trick with a pair of assists, while Hanson picked up two goals, nine grounders, and three caused turnovers. Finlayson added two goals, while Kuhlthau found the back of the net twice and caused seven turnovers on the day.
 
	- AJ Paton picked up the win today with an excellent performance in the crease. The junior tallied 11 saves on the day and held the Raiders to four goals.
