PAXTON, Mass. – The Chargers picked up their third-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game of the year defeating Anna Maria by a 18-5 final on Saturday.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers wasted no time in taking control of the game, as junior Soph Kuhlthau (Cheshire, Conn.) fired off a powerful free position shot for the first goal two and a half minutes in. Sophomore Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.) showed off her skills with a tough shot that found the back of the net, extending the Chargers' lead to 2-0 in the opening minutes. After the AMCATS scored the first goal for the home team, Colby-Sawyer closed the quarter strong as first year Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, N.H.) added back-to-back strikes from junior Heather Hanson (Barnstable, Mass.) as the Chargers totaled a 4-1 lead into the second.
  • In the second period, the Chargers showed no signs of slowing down as they dominated the field with seven-straight goals in the first 10 minutes and 10 seconds of the quarter. Graduate student Hannah Marquis (Weare, N.H.), Hanson and Kuhlthau each added two goals, while Ponzini added the final of the seven. Raegan Hachey would then stop the bleeding for the AMCATS with a free-position goal and another goal by Kyana Altif ended the half with a 11-3 Charger lead.
  • Marquis and graduate student Sydney Stevens (Laconia, N.H.) each added early goals to push the lead to 13-3 with 13:37 to play in the third. Marquis and Kuhlthau each continued their big days adding three goals between them, while sophomore Elena Bronson (Bristol, Vt.) finished the quarter with a free position strike as the Chargers led 17-4 headed into the final 15 minutes.
