Box Score 2 Orlando, FLA. – The Chargers men's tennis team split their matches on Friday earning a win against Brooklyn College (8-1) and falling to Connecticut College (3-6).
Rapid Recap (Brooklyn 8-1):
- The Chargers swept the doubles against the Bulldogs highlighted by a sophomore Ashton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) and sophomore Caiden McManus (Wallingford, Conn.) 8-2 win over Kue and Hume.
- The Chargers continued to shine in singles winning one through five with sophomore Peyton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) winning in the first slot 6-3, 6-3, A. Meuse notching 6,4 and 6-2 wins, sophomore Matthew Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) winning with scores of 6-4 and 6-1, first year Markin Rankins (Latham, N.Y.) tabbed his fourth slot winning 6-1 and 6-2 and senior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) earned the fifth slot victory with scores of 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, and 10-7.
Rapid Recap (Connecticut (3-6):
- The Chargers found one doubles win against the Camels from the sophomore twin duo out of Newport, Peyton and Ashton Meuse winnig their matchup 8-5.
- In singles P. Meuse continued his winning streak beating Mulligan 6-2 and 6-1. Sophomore Zsombar Homonnay (Dunakeszi, Hungary) found the other singles win for the Chargers winning his matchup 6-4 and 7-5.
