Orlando, FLA. – The Chargers men's tennis team split their matches on Wednesday earning a win against Belhaven University (7-2) and falling to Division 1 opponent Lafayette College (1-8).
Rapid Recap (Belhaven 7-2):
- The Chargers held a 2-1 advantage after the double sessions seeing wins from the pair of junior Aidan Jenson (Essex, Vt.) and sophomore Matthew Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) who notched a score of 8-5 over Humprey and Diaz, and the duo of sophomore Peyton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) and senior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) snagged a dominant 8-2 win over Breedlove and Lassiter.
- In singles the Chargers swept one through five highlighted by P. Meuse big 6-0, 6-0 win in the third slot and first year Leonardo Russo (Barcelona, Spain) cleaning up the fifth slot with 6-1, 6-1 wins.
Rapid Recap (Lafayette 1-8):
- Russo found the only win for the Chargers in their second match in the fifth slot of singles winning 7-6(4), and 6-1.

The Chargers have earned a rest day and will be back in action in Orlando Friday March 15th against Connecticut College and Brooklyn College.
