MEN'S TRACK OPENS SEASON AT NEW BALANCE EARLY BIRD INVITE

BOSTON, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team traveled to Boston to compete at the TRACK at New Balance for the Early Bird Invite that saw a lot of strong performances, personal bests, and team debuts. 

Rapid Recap:
  • Senior, Cross Sierra (Bourne, Mass.) ran his way to a new personal best in the 60m dash crossing the line in 7.91 and then going on to run a 25.37 in the 200m.
  • First Year, Mason Sayers led the Chargers in the 60m dash as he was across the line in a time of 7.35 and would go on to run a 24.73 in the 200m later in the day. Junior, JJ Davis would finish just behind Sayers crossing the line in the 60m dash in a time of 7.36.
  • Junior, Matt Gaudioso (Branford, Conn.) would lead the Chargers on the field side making his team debut in the long jump, finishing as the top Charger with a 4.54m jump.
  • Senior, Jonathan Platti (North Granbury, Conn.) would lead the mid-distance crew running in the 400m with a 14th overall finish, as he crossed the line in 54.24.
Up Next:
The Chargers head into winter break where they will get some time off from competition before picking it back up at the Suffolk Relays on January 11th back at the TRACK at New Balance.
