PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer College women's volleyball team fell to the Panthers 3-0 (11-25, 12-25, 23-25) on the road Wednesday evening.

- The Panthers took a quick 9-2 lead over the Chargers Wednesday evening with back-to-back kills. Sophomore Brenna Piller (Simsbury, Conn.) and senior Ally Majenski (Marshfield, Mass.) would each chip in a kill to get the visitors on the board as the Chargers trailed 12-5. Back-to-back kills by senior Katie Mollberg (Naples, Fla.) would get the Chargers within seven points, trailing the Panthers 16-9. Piller would get the Chargers in double digits with a kill of her own, before the Panthers put the ball away and claimed the first set victory 25-11.
- The Chargers took a quick 2-0 lead in the second set capitalizing on an error by the Panthers and a kill by Mollberg to get the visitors on the board. The Panthers would counteract and take advantage of the Chargers' mistakes and tie the set at 5-5. A kill by first-year Kamryn Brakemeier (Fort Worth, Texas) gave the Chargers a 7-6 lead before the Panthers would pull away and take a 14-10 lead. Mollberg would cut the Panthers lead with the assist from senior Brooke Patnode (Weare, N.H.), but the Panthers continued to battle. The Panthers extended their lead to 23-12 in the second set and would claim the second set victory 25-12.
- The Panthers took a quick 9-0 lead over the Chargers in the third set, taking advantage of mistakes made by the visitors. The Chargers got their first two points from Panthers' errors. A kill by first-year Brooke Tasker (Wolfeboro, N.H.) would cut the Panthers led to 11-4. Back-to-back services aces by sophomore Alexis Mandrino (Dunbarton, N.H.) and a kill by Brakemeier got the Chargers within five points, as the Chargers trailed the Panthers 13-9. First-year Aijah Thoroughgood (Center Barnstead, N.H.) would then collect a service ace in the third set and a kill by Mandrino cut the Panthers lead to 17-14 late in the third set. The Chargers and Panthers would continue to trade points back and forth and Brakemeier would chip in a service ace as the Panthers led 22-19. Sophomore Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.) would get the Chargers within one point with a service ace, but the Panthers would put the ball away to claim the third set 25-23.
Inside the Numbers:
- Patnode led the way for the Chargers with 10 assists and seven digs while Fontes added an assist and six digs.
- Majenski added five kills and a dig while Mollberg and Brakemeier each added four kills.

The Chargers will conclude the regular season on Saturday when they host Lasell University and Elms College with 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM start times.
