Chargers Finish UMass Dartmouth Invitational in 28th Place

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team competed in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday placing in 28th place out of 37 teams.

Rapid Recap:

  • Sophomore Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) led the way for the Chargers placing in 129th place in the 5k at a time of 20:40.47.
  • Junior Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) followed behind Nadeau in 142nd place at a time of 20:55.46. 
  • Sophomore Leah O'Neill (Peabody, Mass.) was the third Charger finisher in 186th at a time of 22:19.01. 
  • First year Maisy Hill (Bristol, Vt.) (24:27.45) and sophomore Emma Mullen (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) (25:04.01) rounded out the scorers in 226th and 230th. 
  • Boston University finished in first place with a team score of 26. Colby-Sawyer was the top Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) scoring team placing over Lasell and Dean. 
Post Game Press:
"Even with the meet getting moved to Sunday, the team came out and preformed", said sophomore Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.). "There were lots of personal bests on both the men and women's side. Tessa pushed me the first half of the race, and overall a good day."

The Chargers will next be in action on September 30th in the Keene State XC Invitational.
