SPRINGFIELD, Mass.
– The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team competed at the Springfield College Classic on Saturday hosted by Springfield College.
Rapid Recap:
- Junior Chase Adams (Brookline, N.H.) secured a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles after clocking in with a time of 56.37.
- In the 800-meter run, sophomore Hayden Goyette (Epsom, N.H.) finished with a time 1:59.90 to take fifth place. Junior Jesse Gushee (West Linn, Ore.) followed closely behind coming in eighth place with a time of 2:07.37.
- Sophomore Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) ran the 1,500-meter run finishing in seventh place after clocking in at 4:21.69. Following closely behind was junior Jordan Piechowski (Windham, N.H.) securing ninth place for the Chargers with a time of 4:27.72.
- In the 4x100-meter relay, Colby-Sawyer had two squads compete with Adams, senior Dean Miller (Andover, Mass.), junior Joseph Branchaud (Tewksbury, Mass.), and sophomore Jordan Kofos (Kittery, Maine) placing fourth with a time of 44.38. The second squad featuring Gushee, first year JJ Davis (Bradford, N.H.), sophomore Jonathan Platti (North Granby, Conn.), and first year Kyle Gassiraro.
- In the field events, sophomore Drew Doughty (Bedford, N.H.) secured third place in the pole vault event with a mark of 3.40-meters. Doughty also competed in the long jump event taking ninth place with a mark of 5.84-meters. Davis placed 11th in the long jump after getting a 5.36-meter mark. Sophomore Conor Moynihan (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed 12th overall in the shot-put event with a mark of 10.32-meters.

The Colby-Sawyer outdoor track and field team will travel to New London, Connecticut to compete in the Silfen Invitational on Friday, April 14
th hosted by Connecticut College.
