HARTFORD, Conn.
– The Colby-Sawyer women's track and field team competed at the Trinity Invitational on Saturday hosted by Trinity College. The Chargers placed eighth out of nine teams with 17 points.

- Junior Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.) took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.96. Keleher continues to smash Colby-Sawyer record books setting a new best in 400-meter dash which she previously set last weekend at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.
- First year Kate Cochran (North Sutton, N.H.) placed sixth overall in the 100-meter hurdles clocking in with a time 16.96. She also competed in the 200-meter dash placing 21st with a time of 28.45 while sophomore Courtney Brewster (Castleton, Vt.) completed the race in 29.39 for a 30th place finish.
- Senior Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) came in 14th place in the 1,500-meter run after clocking in at 5:04.28. Sophomore Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) also competed in the race finishing 27th with a time of 5:17.95 while first year Adriana Nadeau and first year Molly Macklin (Hudson, N.H.) rounded out for the Chargers.
- In the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Courtney Larson (Auburn, Maine) finished 14th overall with a time of 1:22.61.
- Macklin raced in the 800-meter run coming in 26th place after crossing the finish line with a time of 3:10.95.
- In the 4x100 relay, the Chargers took sixth place featuring Cochran, Brewster, sophomore Chloe Makela (York, Maine), and junior Anna Bieszczad (Grantham, N.H.) clocking in at 55.21.
- In the field events, Brewster secured sixth place in the high jump event with a mark of 1.42-meters. In the javelin throw event, Larson threw a best of 14.64-meters to take 21st place. Keleher placed ninth overall in the long jump with a mark of 4.76-meters.

The Colby-Sawyer outdoor track and field team will take part in the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championship next weekend. The championship will be hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine and will commence on Saturday, April 29
th and conclude on Sunday, April 30th.
