HARTFORD Conn.
– The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team competed at the Trinity Invitational on Saturday hosted by Trinity College. The Chargers placed eighth out of nine teams with 42 points.

- In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) captured a first-place finish for the Chargers with a time of 10:11.44. Following behind him was junior Jordan Piechowski (Windham, Maine) coming in second with a time of 11:09.73 while sophomore Martin Steucek (Ashburnham, Mass.)
- Junior Chase Adams (Brookline, N.H.) took second place in the 400-meter hurdles after crossing the finish line with a time of 55.38, He also placed sixth overall in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.98.
- In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Jordan Kofos (Kittery, Maine) finished 11th overall with a time of 23.60. Senior Dean Miller also competed in the race placing 24th with a time of 24.59 while sophomore Aidan Weagle (Hudson, Mass.) and sophomore Daniel Castriotta (Barre, Mass.) rounded out for the Chargers.
- Sophomore Jonathan Platti (North Granby, Conn.) took 16th place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.32. Following closely behind was first year Kyle Gassiraro finishing 23rd with a time of 57.75.
- In the 800-meter run, sophomore Jesse Gushee (West Linn, Ore.) securing 18th place after clocking in at 2:03.92. Senior Tristan McNight (South Burlington, Vt.) also competed in the event finishing with a time of 2:37.91.
- Sophomore Hayden Goyette (Epson, N.H.) placed 12th out of 46 runners in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:13.62.
- The Chargers put together a 4x400-meter relay squad featuring Goyette, Weagle, Kofos, and Platti crossing the finish line in 3:38.05 to take third place.
- In the field events, sophomore Connor Moynihan (Tewksbury, Mass.) competed in the discus throw placing 20th with a 26.52-meter mark. He also took part in the hammer throw getting a 23.52-meter mark good for 16th place. Senior Connor Molkenthin (East Haddam, Conn.) placed 13th in the javelin throw with sophomore Drew Doughty (Bedford, N.H.) taking 16th with a throw of 14.58-meters. In the long jump, sophomore Achius Wolfley (Lords Valley, Pa.) finished 10th with a amrk of 4.84-meters.

The Colby-Sawyer outdoor track and field team will take part in the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (
GNAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championship next weekend. The championship will be hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine and will commence on Saturday, April 29
th and conclude on Sunday, April 30th.
