– The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team swept Castleton University 9-0 on Sunday for their Senior Day match to improve to a 9-10 overall record. Before the match started, the Chargers honored senior
Kham Savatdy (Woonsocket, R.I.).
Rapid Recap:
- Colby-Sawyer took a quick 3-0 led in doubles action with a decisive performance by Savatdy and first year Ashton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) winning the number two slot by a 8-0 final score. Sophomore Aidan Jensen (Essex, Vt.) and first year Zsombor Homonnay (Dunakeszi, Hungary) battled in number one doubles securing an 8-3 victory while first year Peyton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) and junior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) defeated their Spartan opponents 8-1.
- In singles action, the Chargers maintained their dominance with Homonnay, A. Meuse, and P. Meuse each sweeping their opponents in two sets (6-0, 6-0). Jensen and Savatdy also had strong performances to help Colby-Sawyer earn their nineth win of the season.

"It was a bit emotional, graduating and leaving here hasn't hit me yet but today brought it to light a little more," said senior
Kham Savatdy (Woonsocket, R.I.). "I'm going to miss the guys and seeing them all fight today is going to hurt when I wear that cap, but it felt good to end it with a solid victory."
