WORCESTER, Mass.
– The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis picked up a non-conference victory over Clark University on Friday winning by a 6-3 final.
Rapid Recap:
- The Chargers trailed the Cougars by a 2-1 margin after doubles action. Colby-Sawyer's lone point came from first year Ashton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) and senior Kham Savatdy (Woonsocket, R.I.) picked up a 8-7 (7-5 tiebreaker) victory in number two doubles.
- In singles action, the Chargers came in clutch winning five points to clinch the win. First year Zsomber Homonnay (Dunakeszi, Hungary) started things off with a 6-3, 6-3 win in number one singles. A. Meuse was next clinching a point with a 7-6, 6-2 final in third singles. First year Peyton Meuse (Newport, N.H.) followed in number four singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Savatdy and junior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) closed the scoring securing points in the fifth and sixth singles spots.
