MEDFORD, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer men's track and field team competed at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday hosted by Tufts University.
Rapid Recap:
- Junior Chase Adams (Brookline, N.H.) had a strong performance securing a pair of first-place finishes for the Chargers. Adams placed first in both the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.04 and the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.54.
- In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) captured second place after clocking in at 10:06.55.
- First year JJ Davis (Bradford, N.H.) qualified for the 100-meter dash finals and placed fifth with a time of 11.63. Also in the event was sophomore Jordan Kofos (Kittery, Maine) finishing 11th overall with junior Joseph Branchaud (Tewksbury, Mass.) and senior Dean Miller (Andover, Mass.) rounding out for the Chargers.
- Kofos also competed in the 400-meter dash placing 23rd overall with a time of 54.66 while sophomore Aidan Weagle (Hudson, N.H.) finished the race with a time of 56.86.
- In the 10,000-meter run, sophomore Martin Steucek (Ashburnham, Mass.) finished 11th overall after clocking in at 37:21.71.
- Leading the Chargers in the 1,500-meter run was sophomore Hayden Goyette (Epsom, N.H.) earning 21st place after clocking in at 4:24.26. Following closely behind was junior Jordan Piechowski (Windham, Maine) finishing with a time of 4:39.35. Rounding out the race for Colby-Sawyer was sophomore Daniel Magill (Billerica, Mass.) and senior Tristan McNight (South Burlington, Vt.).
- In the field events, sophomore Connor Moynihan (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed 15th overall in the shot put with a throw of 9.57-meters. Moynihan also competed in the javelin throw placing 23rd with a mark of 23.51-meters.
- In the 4x100-meter relay, the Chargers took second place after finishing with a time of 45.50 featuring Adams, Miller, Branchaud, and Kofos.
- In the 4x400-meter relay, Colby-Sawyer finished in sixth place after clocking in at 3:43.97 featuring Goyette, Weagle, junior Jesse Gushee (West Linn, Ore.), and sophomore Jonathan Platti (North Granby, Conn.).

"The team fought through some adverse weather conditions," said sophomore
Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine). "There were lots of excellent performances including Davis in the 100-meter dash, Adams in both the hurdle races, Keleher in the 200-meter dash, and Steucek and Nadeau in the 10,000-meter run."
