BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's track and field team began their outdoor season this Saturday at the Bridgewater Sates Bears Invitational hosted by Bridgewater State University. Junior
Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.) started the new season right where she left off by breaking the 200-meter dash outdoor school record.

- Senior Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass) started the outdoor season by securing first place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 40:10.37. Following closely behind her was sophomore Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) coming in second place with a time of 41:57.64.
- In the 200-meter dash, junior Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.) took second place after clocking in at 26.24. She breaks her own 200-meter dash outdoor school record which she previously set last year at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship. Sophomore Courtney Brewster (Castleton, Vt.) clocked in with a time of 31.24 while junior Anna Bieszczad (Grantham, N.H.) and Chloe Makela (York, Maine) rounded out the event for the Chargers.
- In the 1,500-meter run, sophomore Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) finished the race in 5:23.59 to take nineth place.
- First year Katie Cochran (North Sutton, N.H.) competed in the 100-meter hurdles finishing in 13th place with a time of 19.51.
- In the field events, Cochran competed in the high jump placing 14th overall with a mark of 1.35-meters. Brewster also competed in the high jump securing 15th place with a 1.35-meter mark. Senior Emily Parent (Oakland, Maine) was the sole Charger in the long jump event taking 21st place with a mark of 3.73 meters. Keleher placed third overall in the triple jump after getting a 10.17-meter mark with Parent earning 14th place with a mark of 7.69 meters.
