Chargers Compete in Wheaton College Pre-Post Season Meet

NORTON, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's track and field team competed in the Wheaton College Pre-Post Season Meet on Saturday ahead of the NCAA Division III New England Regionals.

Rapid Recap:

Junior Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.) started the meet breaking her own record in the triple jump landing at 10.81 meters, which was good enough for second place. Keleher also competed in the 60-meter dash finishing with a time of 8.17 good for sixth place.
Senior Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) had another strong performance for the Chargers in the women's one mile. She placed in fourth at a time of 5:42.77. Sophomore Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) followed in 10th place at a time of 6:03.25.
In the 800-meter run, first year Emma Mullen (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished in 18th with a time of 3:05.33.
In the women's 3000-meter sophomore Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) placed in 16th with a time of 11:40.25.

The Colby-Sawyer indoor track and field team will compete in the NCAA Division III New England Regionals on Febuary 24th and February 25th.
