NEW LONDON, N.H. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District soccer teams were announced featuring four Chargers.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Women's Soccer Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in at least 90 percent of the institution's contests or started in at least 66 percent of those contests.
Senior
Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.), sophomore
Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.), sophomore
Sophie Nadeau (Hampton, N.H.) and junior
Halle Pletzer (Barre, Vt.) were named to the team from Colby-Sawyer.
Keiper ended the season with eight goals and six assists over all 22 starts for the Chargers. Kara was later named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team.
McKee made 15 starts for the Chargers in her first season in New London. Lauren ended the year with two goals and two assists with both goals being the game-winner.
Nadeau made appearances in every game for the Chargers in her sophomore year with 12 starts from a defensive position. Sophie ended the year with her first collegiate assist on September 27th against Dean in a 4-2 win.
Pletzer started 21 games for the Chargers while making appearances in all 22 for Colby-Sawyer. Halle tallied a goal and four assists in 1,832 minutes of action for the Chargers.
