MEDFORD, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's track and field team competed at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational on Saturday hosted by Tufts University. Junior
Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.) highlighted on the women's side after breaking her fourth school record this season.
Rapid Recap:
- Keleher ran the 400-meter dash finishing in second place with a time of 1:01.67. This breaks the pervious indoor school record set by Paige O'Malley in 2015 by 0.60 seconds. Keleher now holds four indoor school records in the 60-meter event, 200-meter event, 400-meter event, and the 4x400 meter relay for the Chargers. She also competed in the women's long jump scoring in 12th place with a mark of 4.59 meters.
- Sophomore Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) was the top finishers for the Chargers in the women's 800-meter race coming in nineth place with a time of 2:43.73. Sophomore Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) also ran the event finishing 13th place in 2:57.90 along with first year Emma Mullen clocking in at 3:16.16.
- In the 3,000-meter race, senior Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) came in 11th place with a time of 11:02.66.
- In the field events, junior Faith Mazzapica (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed 16th overall in the weight throw event after throwing 10.03 meters. She also competed in the shot put event and threw for 7.12 meters.

Ashley Keleher (Mashpee, Mass.). "But other than the new school record, the team had some huge personal records and season bests in multiple events that deserve some praise as well. We've been putting in a lot of hard work these past couple of weeks and the best is yet to come for this team!"

The Colby-Sawyer indoor track and field team will head to Wheaton College to compete in the Wheaton Invitational on January 28
th for their next meet.
