CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis defeated Lesley University 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon to earn their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season.

• The Chargers secured the 3-0 advantage after the doubles round. Second doubles featuring junior Alyssa Owens (Grain Valley, MO.) and sophomore Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) as well as third doubles sophomore Isabella Gutierrez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) and sophomore Lily Tria (Westerly, R.I.) dominated in their matches. 
• Sophomore Amelia Campanella (Chepachet, R.I.) prevailed in her singles match against Joselyn Martinez along with strong performance by Owens, Gutierrez, and Hogan to help earn the Chargers their first (GNAC) win of the year.
