Chargers Pick Up Clutch 5-4 Win on Senior Day Against Regis College

NEW LONDON, N.H. – On senior day in New London, the Chargers men's tennis team secured a first round Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) playoff home match by defeating Regis College by a 5-4 final.

Rapid Recap:
  • Taking the lone victory for Colby-Sawyer doubles was the third pairing of first year Alexander Edelmann and senior Charlie Graffius (Portland, Maine) winning by a 8-0 final.
  • In singles action the Chargers showed their depth with wins by #3 - #6 to pull off the big win. First-year Aiden Jensen (Essex, Vt.), first year John Turner (Perry, Maine), Edelmann and junior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) each picked up decisive two set wins.
Coaches Corner:

"The team knew if we got the win we would host a semifinal playoff match", said head coach Barry Schoonmaker. "Charlie Graffius, Alexander Edelmann and Cohl Schusler came through today when we needed them."

The Chargers host the first round of the GNAC playoffs scheduled on Saturday April 30th.
