NORWICH, VT. – The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team came back from a loss to UMass Boston with a huge 7-2 conference victory over the Cadets of Norwich University on Wednesday evening.
Rapid Recap:
- Oustanding Senior Award winner Julius Lowman (Bavaria, Germany) and first-year Aidan Jensen (Essex, Vt.) did it again, defeating their opponents with an 8-2 score in first doubles.
- The pair of first-years, Jan Ullmann (Schriesheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany) and John Turner (Perry, Maine) continued the fun with an 8-3 victory in the number two spot.
- Finishing doubles play were Alexander Edelmann and junior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) with an 8-6 victory.
- Adding on to the wins was Lowman in the number one spot with a 6-3,6-1 final score. Ullamnn followed with a 6-3, 6-0 victory of his own to put the Chargers up 6-0. For the final win of the night for the Chargers was Turner, earning the 6-3,6-4 victory.
- The final contributors to this 9-0 triumph were Ullmann, Jensen, and Edelmann.
