Chargers Tennis Roll Past Curry College

ORLANDO, Fla. - On Tuesday the Chargers tennis teams returned to form with a pair of 9-0 victories over the Curry College Colonels. 

Rapid Recap: 
  • The men's team and women's team both swept the doubles with the three pairs winning by an 8-0 final. Men's first doubles featuring senior Julius Lowman (Bavaria, Germany) and first year Aidan Jensen (Essex, Vt.) as well as second doubles first year Jan Ullmann (Baden-Wuerrttemberg, Germany) and first year John Turner (Perry, Maine) each swept the Colonels. On the women's side first year Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) and first year Lily Tria (Westerly, R.I.) from the number two doubles slot also went perfect as a team. 
  • On the singles side for the men junior Cohl Schusler (Bradford, N.H.) finished with a perfect 6-0,6-0 victory in number five singles. Lowman, Jensen, Ullmann and Turner each only allowed one set against themselves. 
  • For the women junior Emily Hill (Wilmington, Mass.) was the top performer winning number two singles by a 6-0, 6-1 margin. First year Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) was next winning the number one singles 6-1, 6-1. 

Up Next: 

The Chargers will face Dickinson College on March 16th with a scheduled start time at 11:30 PM.
