ORLANDO, Fla. - On Monday, the Chargers tennis program began its Florida trip dropping a contest against the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Eagles. The men's team fell by a 8-1 final, while the women's team lost by a 9-0 final.

- Senior Julius Lowman (Bavaria, Germany) picked up the lone point for the Chargers in the #1 singles spot defeating Grant Counts of the Eagles (6-4, 4-0). Lowman and first year Aidan Jensen (Essex, Vt.) was the closest pairing to score a doubles point falling by a 8-4 margin as the #1 grouping.
- On the women's side it was the teams' first action since winning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship. First year Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) had a good showing in the #2 singles slot falling by a 7-6, 6-3 final against Kellie Hierl of the Eagles. Two more Chargers fell in tie-breakers as first year Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) and first year Lily Tria (Westerly, R.I.) each forced a thirteenth set for a point.
