DAVENPORT, Fla. –The Colby-Sawyer Chargers dropped two games on Sunday night against the Saints of St. Lawrence University in a 7-inning doubleheader at the Central Florida RussMatt Invitational.
GAME 1:
	- The first game of the night showcased a total of three hits from the Chargers. Junior Jake Choiniere (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) singled in the top of the first but would then be left stranded on base after a fly out to centerfield. The Saints started strong putting two runs on the board in the bottom of the first to collect an early lead.
- First-year Jesse MacGlashing (Pittsfield, N.H.) earned the second Charger hit of the game with a single to the left side. Unfortunately for the team, MacGlashing was left on base going into the bottom of the second.
- A quick 1-2-3 inning put the bats back into the Chargers hands bringing up junior captain Tommy Sasso (Grafton, Mass.) in the top of the third. Sasso would then homer to cut the Saints lead down to one, bringing the score 2-1.
- Sophomore pitcher Zach Rogers (Mashpee, Mass.) shut down the Saints in the bottom of the third providing two routine groundouts and a strikeout swinging. The next four innings remained both scoreless and hitless to end with a final of 2-1, Saints.
GAME 2:
	- Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, the MacGlashing earned his second hit of the night and the Charger's first of the game by singling to right field. The beginning of the sixth would see the Saints extend their lead to four with the top of the seventh advancing the score to eight.
- Junior Cooper O'Brien (Vergennes, Vt.) led off with a walk to bring up pinch hitter Ben Mensch (Tampa, Fla.) who would single to left field and advance O'Brien to second with no outs. First year Cross Sierra (Bourne, Mass.) earned his first RBI of his career with a single scoring O'Brien and avoiding the shutout. Then, with bases loaded, a grounder to the right side would score Mensch and a wild pitch would then score Sierra to bring the score 8-3. The Saints collected their three outs to take the sweep over the Chargers.
