NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Chargers women's tennis team continued their winning-streak on Sunday defeating the Wheaton College Lyons by a 9-0 final. 

Rapid Recap:

• The Chargers got the early 3-0 advantage after the doubles round highlighted by a 8-1 win in number three doubles by sophomore Isabella Gutierrez Avendaño (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) and sophomore Lily Tria (Westerly, R.I.). 
• In the singles action sophomore Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) and sophomore Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) each picked up huge three-set victories in number one singles and number four singles. Carpenter won in first singles by a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 final, while Hogan picked up a big win by a 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 final. 
• Senior Emily Hill (Wilmington, Mass.) and junior Alyssa Owens (Grain Valley, Mo.) also cruised along with big wins in number three and number two singles respectfully.

Next Up:
The Chargers will stay home to face Eastern Nazarene College on Monday October 3rd.
