CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team tied 0-0 against Elms College in their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest on Wednesday night. The Chargers are now 5-4-2 in conference play. 

Rapid Recap: 

• Colby-Sawyer immediately got on the attack and forced an early save from the Elms goalkeeper Gianna Liquori after sophomore Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) put a shot on target. The Blazers responded a few minutes later with a shot by Caroline Wilcox that the Chargers senior goalkeeper Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine) saved. Elms continued to apply pressure to Colby-Sawyer's backline and tested LeBreton with another three shots, but the score would remain tied at 0-0 heading into halftime.  
• The Chargers came out strong in the second half with junior Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.), sophomore Halle Pletzer (Barre, VT.), and senior Grace Walsh (Marstons Mills, Mass.) taking early shots. It was back-and-forth action toward the end of the second half as the Blazers recorded three shots in the final ten minutes. Pletzer had an opportunity to break the goal drought in the 88^th minute, but Liquori was able to deny the goal to end the match with a 0-0 final. 

Stats & Figures:

• O'Connell led the team in shots getting two of her four shots on target. Keiper followed with three shots and senior Thea Alberti (Wilmington, Mass.), junior Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.), and Pletzer ended the night with two shots apiece.  
• LeBreton made 7 saves in the match to earn their 7^th clean sheet of the season.  
• Colby-Sawyer outshot the Blazers 16-13 with a 12-7 margin in shots on target.
