Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Chargers Fall to Dartmouth College 7-0

HANOVER, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team loss to Dartmouth College 7-0 to conclude their non-conference schedule on Monday evening. 

Rapid Recap: 
  • Dartmouth took the early 1-0 lead with Daisy Granholm finding the back of the net under the opening five minutes of the match. Colby-Sawyer battled from that point onward with sophomore Hannah Himes (Willison, VT.), senior Jess Stuckhart (Windham, N.H.), and senior Thea Alberti (Wilmington, Mass.) stepping up defensively for the Chargers. Midway through the first half, sophomore Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) each got shots on target that were saved by Dartmouth's starting goalkeeper Emily Hardy. The Chargers would head to halftime trailing by one goal thanks to senior goalkeeper Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine) making six big saves in the first half. 
  • The Big Green gained momentum in the second half after Allie Winstanley gave Dartmouth the 2-0 in the 48th minute. Dartmouth would tally another five goals in the second half and earn the 7-0 win over the Chargers. 
Stats & Figures:
  • O'Connell and Bishop ended the night with the only two shots on target for the Chargers. 
  • LeBreton finished the game with 15 saves, the second most saves in a single match this season, after ninety minutes in net. 
  • Colby-Sawyer were outshot by Dartmouth 48-3 with a 23-2 margin in shots on goal favoring the Big Green.
