WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team raced at the Purple Valley Classic on Saturday placing in 8th out of 12 teams with 209 points.
Rapid Recap:
- Leading the way for the Chargers was senior Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.). O'Connell crossed the line at 24:26.3 during this 6k race finishing in 22nd place.
- Sophomore Samantha Carus (Brownfield, Maine) followed closely behind at 24:45.4 good for 27th place. Next for Colby-Sawyer was sophomore Tessa Millette (Barrington, N.H.) who finished in 55th with a time of 25:50.3.
- First year Adriana Nadeau (Londonderry, N.H.) finished 75th overall and fourth in the Chargers spread with a time of 26:45.1. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Heather Hanson (Marston Mills, Mass.) who crossed the line 85th overall with a time of 27:35.1.

The Chargers will take a week off from competition before heading to Connecticut College on October 15th in their final regular season meet before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.
