Box Score 3 CHICOPEE, MASS- The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball headed down to Massachusetts for the Elm College tournament over the week. The Chargers took two of three after beating the host school and SUNY
Cobleskill, as well as losing to Worchester Polytechnical Institute.

Set Breakdown (Match 1):
- Friday's tournament opened with the host school taking on the Chargers. Colby-Sawyer won the first two sets. In the first, the Chargers earned the last two points and earned the 1-0 lead. Colby-Sawyer won the second set in commanding fashion, winning 25-18. Elms took the third set to come within one. Colby-Sawyer responded by winning the fourth set 25-16 to seal the victory.
- Freshman Makaila Blinne (Palm Bay, Fla.) had 15 kills in her first collegiate match. Senior Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) had 32 assists in the matchup, she also had four kills in the victory. Freshman Shaelyn Thornton (Scarborough, Maine) had nine kills in her college debut.
Set Breakdown (Match 2):
- In match two of the night the Chargers got downed by WPI in straight sets. The Chargers lost in set one 25-17. Colby-Sawyer lost 25-20 in set two and 25-14 in set number three. () Mia Hermon had five kills in the loss. Senior Riley Codman (Dublin, N.H.) smashed four kills in the defeat. Allen had a team high 16 digs and 13 assists in the loss. Freshman Audra Fontes (Fresno, Calif.) had 12 digs.
Set Breakdown (Match 3):
- Colby-Sawyer had one game left of the tournament on Saturday against SUNY Cobleskill. The Chargers won in five sets and proved to be their best game on the tournament. Cobleskill took game one 25-14. The Chargers bounced back and won set two 25-19. In set three the Fighting Tigers won 25-22 to go up one needing only one set to take a win back to New York. Colby-Sawyer won set four to force a fifth and deciding set. The Chargers pulled out a 15-11 victory to take a winning record back to New Hampshire.
- Junior Olivia Werner (Williston, Vt.) had a team high 10 kills in the win. Audra had the team high in digs with 25. Allen had a weekend high 37 assists in the five-set thriller. Freshman Brenna Humpage (Scarborough, Maine) had five services aces.
