Finn Husband (Elk Rapids, Mich) scored the lone Charger goal in the second half.

The Summary
- In the first half, Clark had the first opportunity of the game in the sixth minute. Senior Alex Maiorano launched a ball towards the net, but was corralled by first-year goalkeeper Ryan Witty (Wilton, Conn.). The Cougars struck first in the 21st minute. First-year Lucas Saia found the back of the net to give Clark a one goal advantage. Witty had another save towards the end of the half on a header.
- Senior Couper Gunn (Easthampton, Mass.) had a goal opportunity in the 53rd minute that was saved by the Clark goal keeper. In the 60th minute, Husband found some nylon to tie the game up at one. First-year Jadon Baros (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had the assist on the play. In the 79th minute, Baros had a scoring chance of his own that was shut down by the Clark keeper. Witty had two big saves in the final 10 minutes to keep the score tied at one and to send his team into overtime.
- In the first overtime stanza, neither team had a shot on goal. In overtime number two, Joshua Dunbar beat Witty in the 108th minute to seal the victory for the Cougars.

"We lost to a very good team tonight," said head coach
Bob Reasso. "Our guys played great and battled all game. We had a few good chances to win it at the end of regulation. I am really proud of our guys, we have great fighting spirit in our team."
