NEW LONDON, N.H.- The Colby Sawyer Women's soccer team rebounded from a tough loss last week to take down Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Norwich University, 3-1 at Kelsey Field Wednesday afternoon.

- Colby-Sawyer got on the board at 15:22 when junior Abby Hamelin (Chesterfield, NH) scored the first goal of the game, giving the Chargers a 1-0 advantage early into the first half.
- Junior Brenna Humphrey (Cornish, ME) took an assist from first-year Hannah Brown (Pembroke, NH) to grow the Colby-Sawyer lead to 2-0 at 29:33.
- The Chargers capped their impressive run when first year Halle Pletzer (Barre, VT.) recieved Brown's second assist on the match to put in the final Charger goal.
- Norwich cut Colby-Sawyer's lead down to two, 3-1, when senior Sara Marcotte (Enfield, Conn.) utilized a ball from sophomore Sarah Rucci (West Boylston, Mass) for the lone Cadet score.
Notes & Notables:
- Freshman Hannah Brown recorded her first two collegiate assist on the match.
- The Chargers produced 20 shots, with 13 on frame opposed to the Cadet's 13, with 3 on target.
- The Chargers improve their season record to 3-5 on the year and evened their record in conference play to 3-3.
They women's soccer team will face another key GNAC opponent, the Albertus Magnus Falcons (6-4) at Celentano Field in New Haven, Connecticut on Oct. 9
