STANDISH, MAINE – The eighth-seeded Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team looks for an upset over the top-seeded Monks of Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday in a 5 p.m. match-up Saturday in the opening round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament.

GAME HEADLINES
The Chargers look to keep their momentum heading to Standish on Saturday. Winners of three of their last four, Colby-Sawyer has outscored its opponents 6-2 in those games.
The Monks secured the GNAC tournament's No. 1 overall seed, finishing undefeated in conference play this season (12-0-0). Saint Joseph's (Me.) was 8-0 in the month of October, outscoring opponents by a 24-2 margin over that same stretch.
COLBY-SAWYER STORYLINES
- The Chargers finished the regular season with a 5-9 overall record and were 2-5 in games outside New London. Colby-Sawyer has played some of its best soccer of the season in October, posting a 4-2 mark in it's last six GNAC games.
- The Chargers' defense has been the story of the turnaround, only allowing five goals in the last six games. Seniors Couper Gunn (Easthampton, Mass.) and Nico Adornetto (Sanford, Maine) continue to be the leaders of the back line, playing critical roles in limiting scoring opportunities for opponents.
- Senior goalkeeper Lucas Boetsch (Rockport, Maine) has shined this season recording 46 saves to go with a .793 save percentage and a pair of shutouts.
- The offense is led by two midfielders as senior Mason Galbato (North Easton, Mass.) and first year Conner McKearin (Proctor, VT) have combined for seven goals and an assist on the year.
- This will be the first postseason appearance for Colby-Sawyer under the direction of first year head coach Bob Reasso. The Chargers will lean on Coach Reasso's 35-plus seasons of experience in the attempted opening-round upset.
SAINT JOSEPH'S COLLEGE OF MAINE STORYLINES
- The Monks have been on a mission this season after a 2019 loss in the GNAC Championship spoiled the team's chance at a three-peat. This season Saint Joseph's posted a 13-1-2 overall record en route to earning the tournament's top seed.
- The Monks defense continues to be their calling card, allowing just 0.66 goals per game. The Monks have surrendered just 11 goals on the season.
- The Monks offense averages 2.38 goals per contest. The scoring attack is led by defender Colin Grant (9 goals, 5 assists) and forward Kuma Onyejose (7 goals, 5 assists).
- Netminder David Walbridge has been stellar for the Monks, making 60 saves while allowing just nine goals on the season.
- Head Coach Will Pike looks for his first GNAC Championship after making the championship game in his first at the helm of the Monks program in 2019.
ALL-TIME vs. SAINT JOSEPH'S COLLEGE OF MAINE
- The Monks have yet to be beaten in the season series between the two clubs, owning a 5-0-1 record against the Chargers all-time.

- This season the Monks defeated the Chargers by a 1-0 result on Saturday Oct. 23. Noah Elmore registered the lone score off a feed from Colin Grant in the 28th minute, while Rowan Daligan picked up the shutout win recording three saves.
