Rapid Recap:
  • Junior Lauren Wilkinson (Lynn, Mass.) had two big saves in the first quarter to help keep the game knotted at 0-0 heading into the second frame.
  • In the 21st minute first year Courtney Larson (Auburn, Maine) gave the visitors an early 1-0 advantage with her 11th goal of the season.
  • The second half did not start the way the Chargers would have liked as a goal in the 36th and 52nd minute gave the Lasers a 2-1 advantage heading into the final stretch of the game.
  • With under a minute to go, a penalty corner setup by first year Emma Webster (Campton, N.H.) drew a penalty shot for the visitors. Head Coach Emily Dewdney turned to graduate student Julia Lanctot (Sandown, N.H.), who beat the keeper to tie the game and force overtime.
  • In overtime, after a crucial save from Wilkinson, Colby-Sawyer had a penalty corner opportunity with under 20 seconds to play. Junior Bella Silva (Danvers, Mass.) played the ball in and dug to the post position, where she found the ball on her stick and propelled the Chargers to victory with 8 seconds remaining in the first overtime period.
Coaches Corner:

"I am incredibly proud of this team", said Dewdney. "They were resilient until the very end and earned this win together. Tonight we celebrate and tomorrow we prepare."
