Daly Breaks Single-Season Goal Record in 5-0 Shutout Victory over Regis College

NEW LONDON, N.H.- Junior Aoife Daly (Harwich, Mass.) secured history today, scoring her 17th goal of the regular season to break Alie Jones single-season goals record set in 2016. Daly also notched the most points in a single-season with 37 passing Jones's 36 points in 2016.

Recap: 
  • Colby-Sawyer took a 1-0 advantage in the first quarter as Daly found junior Bella Silva (Danvers, Mass.) who hit home the score from the back post. 
  • The second quarter was starred by first year Courtney Larson (Auburn, ME) who netted two scores in a two minute span to give the Chargers a commanding 3-0 lead. 
  • After a scoreless third quarter Daly tallied the history-making score off a feed from senior Whitney O'Brien (Mount Vernon, N.H.) in minute 46.
  • The Chargers added yet another insurance goal in the 55th minute as junior Caroline Koziol (Waterford, N.Y.) registered career goal number one beating the Regis keeper.

  • Colby-Sawyer celebrated senior day with an offensive game plan outshooting the Pride 27-5
  • In the cage senior Julia Carr (York, ME) picked up her third win of the season with a three save shutout.
