BOSTON, Mass. - February 16, 2020 - The Colby-Sawyer men's indoor track and field team finished sixth at the inaugural Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
RESULTS
The Chargers collected 40 points. Suffolk won the meet with 119 points.
Highlighting a great day of performances by the Chargers was
Jacob Nichol. He beat his previous school record time of 9.28 with a new mark of 9.25 to win the 60-meter hurdles and be named GNAC Champion.
In the 3k,
Ben Jones finished third at 9:23.99 and was closely followed by
Peter Bakker in fifth at 9:28.53.
Bryce Carlson came away with a third place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.10 meters.
In the shot put,
Alex Kusnarowis led the team in fourth place with a personal best distance of 12.41 meters.
Jacob Walker also posted a personal best with a toss of 9.30 meters.
Connor Molkenthin and
Troy Cappos tied for fifth in the high jump after achieving a height of 1.60 meters.
All five competitors in the mile recorded personal best times. Bakker led the team in fourth place at 4:39.43, followed by Jones in sixth at 4:41.55.
Spencer McClary placed 12th in 4:52.71,
Brendan Sullivan finished 14th in 5:04.19 and
Tristan McNight placed 16th in 5:12.94.
Dean Miller posted a personal best time of 24.95 in the 200-meter dash.
The distance medley relay team of Jones, Nichol, Sullivan and Bakker closed out the day with a fourth place finish in a combined time of 11:41.87.
