MEDFORD, Mass. - February 1, 2020 - The Colby-Sawyer men's and women's indoor track and field team competed against a very strong field at the Tufts Branwen Smith-King Invitational held at the Gantcher Center on Saturday.

Highlighting the day for the women was the performance in the pole vault by
Laurel Blackman. She tied the school record mark of 2.95 meters set by
Johanna DeVries '19 almost three years ago to the date.
Macy Lapan was the top Charger finisher in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.87. Blackman turned in a personal best time of 9.22 in the 60-meter dash. Lapan registered a mark of 9.98 to finish 12th in the triple jump.
In the 600-meter run,
Amanda Boyd finished 29th in 1:52.15.
Brady Stolz placed 11th in the shot put with a distance of 10.26 meters.
On the men's side,
Jacob Nichol posted a 17th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.46.
Peter Bakker clocked in at 5:00.30 in the mile.
Brendan Sullivan finished the 800-meter run in 2:20.53.
Colby-Sawyer is scheduled to compete at Plymouth State next Saturday.
