NEW LONDON, N.H. - January 11, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swim team began the 2020 portion on its schedule with a double-dual home meet against Regis College and Simmons University on Saturday afternoon at the Knight Natatorium. The Chargers fell to Regis 146-117 and Simmons 216-73.
RESULTS
Jinnae Jang was one of two event winners on the day. She beat eight other competitors in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.48. Jang also posted a second place finish. She touched the wall in 26.32 just .01 behind the race winner.
Kelsey Brown came away with the other win on Saturday. She took the top spot with a time of 29.05 to earn a victory in the 50 butterfly.
Rebecca Lee began the new year by knocking off nearly three seconds of her season best time in the 200 freestyle. She clocked in at 2:08.90 to place second in today's race. Later in the day, Lee collected another season best time by finishing the 500 freestlye in 5:44.06 to place second.
In the 100 butterfly,
Nina Boudreau came away with second place in a time of 1:06.92.
The Chargers have a quick turnaround with another home meet on Wednesday against Elms at noon.
