NEW LONDON, N.H. – September 28, 2019 – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell to Simmons University, 3-1, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon. Simmons won by scores of 25-13, 25-20, 20-25 and 25-14.
Simmons improves to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Sharks travel to Johnson & Wales on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. conference match. Colby-Sawyer drops to 8-10 overall and 1-2 in the GNAC. The Chargers host New England College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Naarah Cox (Boston, Mass.) led the team with 13 kills and added five blocks. She moved into fifth in career solo blocks with 94. Senior
Morgan Flynn (Reading, Mass.) moved into a tie for sixth on the all-time digs list after picking up seven today to give her 1253 for her career. Sophomore setter
Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed 23 assists and seven digs.
The Sharks were paced by junior Morgan Weeg's (Goodyear, Ariz.) 13 kills. She hit .310 and added a pair of block assists. Sophomore Krissy Lloyd (Tampa, Fla.) was second on the team with 12 kills. Junior setter Faith Gray-Williams (Las Vegas, Nev.) registered 38 assists, while Morgan Lauvray (Murrieta, Calif.) picked up a team high 20 digs.
Simmons benefited from 19 aces in the match. Lauvray, Gabriela Hernandez (San Francisco, Calif.) and Julia Fusco (Beverly, Mass.) had five apiece.
