WESTON, Mass. - September 21, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team dropped a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at Regis, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers fall to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Colby-Sawyer will look to rebound tomorrow at home against Springfield. Regis improves to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC.
Colby-Sawyer earned the first point of the day at No. 1 doubles, as
Yashu Yang and
Alexa Conlin won, 8-1. The Pride picked up the other two points in doubles, with an 8-4 win at No. 2 and an 8-6 victory at No. 3.
Regis went on top 3-1 after a straight sets victory at the fifth flight.
Yashu Yang continued her perfect singles season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the top flight, but the Pride won the remaining matches to take the 7-2 victory.
