NEW LONDON, N.H. – April 10, 2019 – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team defeated Anna Maria, 19-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the conference standings. The Chargers will travel to Regis on Saturday for a noon start. Regis is one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the GNAC. Anna Maria dips to 0-10 overall and 0-8 in conference play. The AMCATS will play at Johnson & Wales next Wednesday.

Sierra Schuster (Hopkinton, N.H.) led the Chargers with six points on five goals and an assist. She moved into seventh on the career goals list with 132. Sophomore
Briana Couture (South Hadley, Mass.) scored four times, while sophomore
Sarah Morin (Pelham, N.H.) added two goals and two assists. Sophomore
Mattie Iaria (Hingham, Mass.) notched her first career goal and an assist, to go along with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Senior
Brittany Ireland (Amherst, N.H.) led all players with seven ground balls. Senior
Bethany Fennessey (Windham, N.H.) caused three turnovers and picked up a pair of ground balls.

Kailyn Lapham (Medway, Mass.) played the first half and made four saves. First-year
Maddie Langdon (The Woodlands, Texas) was in the net in the second half and did not face a shot.
Anna Maria first-year goalie Emma Walsh (Dracut, Mass.) finished with 14 saves. Walsh added a team-best four ground balls to go with a pair of caused turnovers.
First-year Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, Mass.) led the AMCATS with three caused turnovers.
