BOSTON, Mass. - March 28, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball team won the first set, but dropped the next three to fall to Emerson in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Thursday evening. Emerson won by scores of 20-25, 25-12, 25-19, and 25-10.
Colby-Sawyer falls to 7-13 overall and 0-11 in the GNAC. The Chargers will travel to Newbury on Saturday. Emerson improves to 10-8 overall and 2-6 in conference action.
First-year
Orlando Plagata (Los Angeles, Calif.) led Colby-Sawyer with 13 kills, 11 digs and four aces. Sophomore
Nate Trevino (Boerne, Texas) was second on the team with eight kills. First-year
AJ Gnieski (Needham, Mass.) finished with 25 assists and 10 digs.
The Lions were led by Win Kittivatcharapong who posted 14 kills on .650 hitting. Mark Piorkowski registered 13 kills and a match-high 13 digs. Samuel Willinger finished with nine kills, while Lucas Raagas tallied 36 assists.
