BROCKTON, Mass. - March 28, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer baseball team dropped a nine-inning non-conference tilt against Pine Manor, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon at Campanelli Stadium.
The Chargers will play another single non-conference game tomorrow at Gordon before heading to East Boston for an important Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) twin bill against four-time defending champions Suffolk.
The Gators took a 3-0 lead in the second with an RBI single from Isaiah Mack and a two-run homer off the bat of Eduary Baez.
Colby-Sawyer cut the deficit to one with a pair of runs in the seventh.

Malik Newcomb.
In the top of the eighth, the Chargers pulled even as
Noah Yeingst singled in
Austin Butler to make the score 3-3.
Pine Manor benefited from a pair of errors in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with the 4-3 victory.
Noah Yeingst went 6.0 innings and gave up three earned runs on eight hits and struck out seven.
Derek Griffin struck out six in 2.2 innings. He did not allow a hit and surrendered one unearned run.
Tim Martin tossed 6.2 innings of two-hit ball. He struck out four and gave up two unearned runs. Joe Mello got the win with 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed one run on two hits.
