BOSTON, Mass. - March 23, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's volleyball team dropped both ends of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match hosted by Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers fell to Regis 3-0 by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-21 and the Saints 3-0 by scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 25-18.
The Chargers are 7-11 overall and 0-9 in conference action in their first season as a varsity program. Colby-Sawyer will play its final home match of the season on Tuesday against nationally ranked Rivier at 7 p.m. Emmanuel improved to 17-9 overall and 6-2 in the GNAC. Regis is 9-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
REGIS 3, COLBY-SAWYER 0 - 25-18, 26-24, 25-21
Patrick Coffey led the Chargers with 10 kills on .300 hitting.
Orlando Plagata posted six kills and a team-best nine digs.
AJ Gnieski finished with 16 assists and four digs.
EMMANUEL 3, COLBY-SAWYER 0 - 25-11, 25-14, 25-18
Eric Miller had a team-high six kills in the second match of the afternoon. He added a pair of blocks.
Patrick Coffey added five more kills to hit total for the day.
AJ Gnieski collected a team-best eight digs.
