Women's Indoor Shatters 4x400 Record

BRUNSWICK, Maine - February 23, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's indoor track and field team wrapped up a successful trip to the 2019 New England Championships hosted by Bowdoin. 

RESULTS

For the second day in a row, a Colby-Sawyer relay team had a record-breaking run. Today's relay team of Hannah Giesing, Amanda Boyd, Sydney Barriere and Natalie Ellard combined to shatter their previous school record of 4:29.55 with a new mark of 4:25.07. The team finished 16th. 

Giesing also competed in the 600-meter run. She finished 16th with a time of 1:43.39 to clock in just shy of her own school record. Giesing was fourth in her heat. 

Macy Lapan competed in the triple jump. She achieved a distance of 10.17 meters to place 21st out of 26.
