PLYMOUTH, N.H. - December 7, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's indoor track & field team began the 2019-20 season at the Plymouth State Winter Classic. The Chargers finished fourth out of five teams with 61 points.
RESULTS
Shannon O'Connell highlighted the day for the Chargers with a record run in the 3k. She earned the victory with a time of 10:40.66 to break the previous record of 10:52.94 set by
Kylee Parker '17 on Feb. 4, 2017.
Emily Vrooman posted a personal best distance of 9.03m in the weight throw. She finished fourth.
In the 400-meter run,
Amanda Boyd took second place with a time of 1:09.66.
Macy Lapan came away with second place in the triple jump (9.89m) and was fifth in the 200-meter dash (31.12).
Alison Fairbairn crossed the finish line of the mile in 5:55.04 to place third.
The Chargers will resume competition on Jan. 11 at Bowdoin.
