NEW LONDON, N.H.- November 2, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming team fell to Division-II Saint Michael's College, 152-119, on Saturday at the Knight Natatorium.
RESULTS
The Chargers began competition by taking the second and third spots in the 200-yard medley relay. Finishing in second, with a time of 1:58.58, was a team comprised of junior
Jinnae Jang, and first-years
Gracie O'Callaghan,
Nina Boudreau, and
Leilani Marlow. Senior
Cassie Lewis, sophomore
Alyssa Brown, and first-years
Rebecca Lee and
Mary Steward combined for third place in a time of 2:10.27.
Junior
Zoe Daudier captured a runner-up finish in the 1000-yard freestyle by swimming to a season best time of 12:25.87.
Jang touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle, swimming to a season-best 2:07.51. Later in the meet, the junior claimed first in the 100-yard individual medley, with a time of 1:05.69.
Marlow captured two individual victories as well, by winning the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 29.24. The first-year backstroker followed with a win in the 200-yard backstroke, coming in at 2:23.23.
Boudreau was the third Charger to earn a pair of individual victories, by swimming to back-to-back wins in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle. Boudreau won the 50 in a season-best time of 26.56, and later swam a 59.42 to win the 100.
Lee continued to drop impressive amounts of time, and claimed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a season-best of 5:48.28.
The women finished the meet with a runner-up finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Lee, Daudier, Jang, and O'Callaghan touched the wall in 8:59.25.
The Chargers will host Plymouth State on Friday, November 8 at 4 p.m.Â
