NASHUA, N.H. - October 17, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match to a tough Rivier team on Thursday evening. The Raiders won by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 22-25 and 25-17.
Rivier improves to 15-5 overall and 3-1 in the GNAC. Colby-Sawyer goes to 12-14 overall and 4-4 in conference play. The Chargers head to Western New England on Saturday for a tri-match against the Golden Bears and Westfield State.
The Chargers received nine kills from
Sam Mohammed (Killingworth, Conn.). She hit .280.
Naarah Cox (Boston, Mass.) hit .286 to finish with seven kills and added a pair of blocks. Senior
Morgan Flynn (Reading, Mass.) collected a team best 13 digs, while sophomore
Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) tallied 21 assists and three kills.
Rivier was led by a 16-kill effort from Taylor Dunster on .429 hitting. She added a match best 15 digs. Sydney Racevicius was second on the team with 15 kills on .357 hitting. Jess Whyte added eight kills on .700 hitting. Avery Pollard ran the offense with 43 assists.
